This year, 2025 is the 18th Anniversary of Brighton Jetty Sculptures Exhibition. The first exhibition was launched in 2008 with 34 sculptures by 14 artists.
Brighton Jetty Sculptures was the initiative of Brighton Surf Life Saving Club members who were inspired by the now famous ‘Sculptures by the sea’ Exhibition held at and around Cottesloe Surf Life Saving Club, Perth, W.A. Our club members thought it was a wonderful opportunity to promote local artists and give them the avenue to publically display their works; an initiative to create a unique event that combines the Arts and Sport (Brighton Jetty Sculptures culminates with our club’s Brighton Jetty Classic Swim) - something quite unparalleled in S.A. and also a way to hopefully create an opportunity to assist to raise the necessary funds to operate our non-profit making Brighton Surf Life Saving Club.
The Brighton Jetty Sculptures Committee is a subcommittee of the Brighton Surf Life Saving Club. All committee members are either full or social members of our great club and are most passionate about the success of our event.
The exhibition continues to grow in popularity annually, with an estimated 8,000 – 10,000 plus visitors per day.
