2027 is the 20th Anniversary of Brighton Jetty Sculptures Exhibition. The first exhibition was launched in 2008 with 34 sculptures by 14 artists.
Brighton Jetty Sculptures was the initiative of Brighton Surf Life Saving Club members who were inspired by the now famous ‘Sculptures by the sea’ Exhibition held at and around Cottesloe Surf Life Saving Club, Perth, W.A.
Our club members thought it was a wonderful opportunity to promote local artists and give them the opportunity to display their works; an initiative to create a unique event that combines the Arts and Surf Lifesaving. Something quite unparalleled in S.A. where an arts event supports the largest volunteer and emergency services organisation in Australia, surf lifesaving.
The Brighton Jetty Sculptures Committee is a subcommittee of the Brighton Surf Life Saving Club. All committee members are either full or social members of our great club and are most passionate about the success of our event.
The exhibition continues to grow in popularity annually, with an estimated 10,000 to 12,000 visitors per day.
