Curators for 2023 are:

  • Silvio Apponyi OAM – Head Curator 
    Silvio is a sculptor based in the Adelaide Hills and has been sculpting for 40 years. Silvio has a Diploma of Fine Art South Australia School of Art, majoring in Sculpture.  Upon completion he was awarded a German exchange scholarship and he spent a year in the Munich Academy of Fine Arts.  He has had one-man shows and group exhibitions locally, interstate and overseas.  He has won several prizes, accepted commissions, conducted workshops in Australia and Malaysia. His work is featured in many private collections both here and overseas and in public spaces across Australia.
  • Marc Spurgin – Senior Curator

    Marc’s focus is the abstract design of the human body, looking outside the square and venturing into the unknown and untouched…producing original, visionary metal art sculptures, with his latest works delving into the human body and its many forms.
    Part of Marc’s vision involves painting his creations, adding new light and colour to the metal forms.
    Marc is proud to be Senior Curator, an Ambassador and Artist for Adelaide’s largest outdoor exhibition, the Brighton Jetty Sculpture Exhibition.
